Terms of use

1. Pilot access and acceptance

These terms apply to the self-service pilot. Review them and the Privacy policy before starting a check. If you do not agree, do not submit material or use the review service. Access is limited to invited users; do not share access credentials or bypass restrictions. Use the service only if you are an adult authorized to do so for yourself or your organization.

2. Permitted material

You may submit real transcripts during the pilot when you are authorized to have them processed through ECH Transcript Studio and the providers disclosed in the Privacy policy. Do not submit sealed, privileged, HIPAA-regulated, or otherwise restricted information. You are responsible for permission to process the material through the disclosed providers, not merely permission to possess it. Removing names alone is not necessarily de-identification.

Do not use ECH Transcript Studio to fabricate or misrepresent an official record, violate another person’s rights, upload malicious content, or disrupt the service.

3. Your content and responsibility

You retain any rights you hold in your transcript and other submitted content. You permit the processing described in the Privacy policy as needed to provide the requested service. This does not grant ECH Transcript Studio ownership of your transcript.

You decide which changes to make. Check proposed replacements, names, punctuation, layout, indexes, and source references before relying on an output. Resolve ambiguous spoken wording against the recording or appropriate source. Do not treat repeated use of a name as authority to rewrite a filed caption.

4. AI and output limitations

AI can miss errors, invent explanations, or return inconsistent results. Suggested corrections—even those eligible for bulk acceptance—are not guaranteed correct. Processing coverage and completion indicators describe work performed, not an accuracy score.

ECH Transcript Studio does not provide legal advice, court approval, certification, full audio scoping, or a guarantee of compliance with a particular rulebook, court, agency, or jurisdiction. The text export is not a native CAT project; check pagination and formatting in your reporting software. Marking a finding reviewed or downloading a file does not certify or automatically repair the record.

5. Saving and availability

Local drafts are browser recovery copies, not a cloud archive. Keep your original files and secure downloaded backups. Browser clearing, device failure, software changes, or interruption can cause loss of work. The pilot may be interrupted, modified, suspended, or ended. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, recovery of lost drafts, or completion by a deadline.

6. Pricing and managed services

The invited self-service pilot is free; page-pack checkout is not active. Advertised future plans are not an active subscription or an unlimited-use entitlement. Paid services require separately confirmed terms before charges or work begin.

Done For You and corporate services require an agreed scope, price, timing, and data-handling arrangement. They are not word-for-word audio scoping or certification unless a separate written agreement expressly states otherwise. Do not send transcript attachments with an initial inquiry.

7. Service disclaimer

To the extent permitted by applicable law, this early-access service is provided as available, without a warranty that its findings are complete, accurate, or suitable for a particular purpose. Do not rely on ECH Transcript Studio as the sole basis for filing or certifying a transcript. Nothing in these terms excludes rights, remedies, or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Feedback, changes, and contact

Send feedback without confidential content. We may use that feedback to improve the service as described in the Privacy policy. Updated terms will be posted with their effective date; review them before further use. If you disagree with changes, stop using the service and retain any needed backups.
